On 8MAY 2009 I met a woman by the name of BERYL. She has a beautiful smile and personality. Beryl resides in CHARLESVILLE married to CLAUDE and has 4 kids 1 boy DEON 33years ,JANINE 30years LYNN 29YEARS, CARMEN 28years whom are financialy stable. Her hobbies are ARTS and CRAFTS and sitting on the beach,breathing in the lovely fresh air. BERYL is also a homecell leader and does devotion twice a day.Her main dishes are steamed chicken and fish with veggies,not fond of luxuries,BUT a cadbury slab will do. BERYL i just want to thank you for accepting me as a friend you have a BLESSED WEEKEND.

Children are a great gift from God. When you get married, the next step is always about having children. I had four kids in five years. I thought I would not be able to cope, but, that was also in the days when new moms had time for their kids. I just loved the idea of having children. As they got older, I played sports, and they all played a sport as well. my three girls and myself played netball, and my son played soccer. We played until they all left high school. A couple of years later they started having their own families. My eldest granddaughter is 14 years old, second one is 8yrs old, third one is 5yrs old, 4th one is 10days old. NOW!!! I have just heard that there is another baby on the way, and they are now about 6 or 7 weeks into this pregnancy. I hope its a boy this time as well. I love all my grandkids so much. They came running took care of you,cuddled you, wiped your tears. Can you see somebody needing the same from you today.TODDLER the senanagens you cought on,the times you climed on the highest object got stuck screamed,like somebody is murdering you.The time you fell scraped your knee, saw some blood and you thought you were dieing screamed.Somebody came running took you in their arms hugged you, kissed you,wiped your nose,washed your knee and bandaided it made you feel whole again.Was there somebo

I had a very busy week at the Impact centre and so did the rest of the volunteers and staff. Everyone is so dedicated and passionate about their calling. It is so encouraging to see people's lives being changed. The one moment you see them coming in with no hope the next you see them smiling. I am part of the seniors citizens group, I do the health talks, motivational talks and the pampering. Beryl does the arts and crafts and pampering, Gloria does the sports, excises and pampering. Then we have Rae, Natasha, Yolanda, Sharon and Juanita on the pampering team. We are having our Golden sports day on 28 May where 30 of our seniors will partake in different events. They are very active and are always on time for their practice sessions. Precautions are set in place regarding their health.So come Thursday they will be wearing their Impact t-shirts and tracksuits.

today was college left early..we are spending th e afternoon withberyl and her family.enjoying my nieces.my niece jade is such a honey.she is 3 years old but she entertained me for about an hour.i am very passionate about family.my family means the world to me.i appreciate my family.today there are families living far from each other,no contact with their loved ones.life is too short to live as strangers.if you find yourself in a position like this then make haste and make peace and reconcile with your loved ones.

Social Development Athlone District requested Impact Direct Wellness group to do a site visit.The purpose of the visit was to give a health check up. We were a group of five ladies and three Impact young men who went over to Langa. It was our first visit to Zone 17 Old age home. Last year we had a group from the same home Coming to The Impact centre. We saw that they had a great need and that they were very lonely.Our youth then visited the home and had fellowship with the elderly. The program: high blood , weighting, padicure and manicure. The senior folk were so pleased with their treatment they were thanking us all the way. The one gentleman (uncle Basil) said he could not wear sandals now he can.No person his age can reach their feet nevermind cutting toenails. The ladies had facials and they even had nailpolish and makeup.( Aya a glamours lady) relived her youth she was a model and worked on movie sets. So much pain,so much potential, all caught up in a snare of depression,hopelessness,anxiety and the stigma attached to our youth...a lost generation. Never, not once at this stage in my life, has reality so coldly stared me in the face.At first it came across as hoaxs.yes pranks scheemed by bored young men and women,needing to vent their energy ,by chatting on MIXIT.. what a rude awakening I faced on realizing that this was reality,our youth were virtualy experiencing all these heartrendering traumaS. About a month ago I was approached by Marlon Parker,the i.t. guru, to board his team of mixit counsellors.Though totally stunned and honoured,I accepted,not even giving the consequences,if any, a second thought.My mind played havoc with me for days...Such as, how would I be giving advice regarding drugs if I never tasted or wasted on this decaying substance.Gently the Spirit would

This was one day in the school holidays when I took all three granddaughters out. We first went for lunch, which is quite an expensive event, then we went to see a movie, and they also went to play games, which went very quick, and which I was very glad for. After all that excitement they did not want to go home saying it was too early. We went to buy some things at Game Stores, and lo and behold, this was where all the fun was. they tried out all the exercise equipment, looked at toys and many more, but the real fun was fitting on the funny hats. And they did quite a lot of different poses with different hats. It was great fun at the expense of game stores.

I have three granddaughters, keesha , kaylin , and jade. the fourth one a boy will be born any day now. He will be our first grandson. I love them all to bits. They love dancing, especially christian hiphop. I am praying for them daily, cos nowadays the world is just there to devour our young people, and we as parents and grandparents and family need to keep a lookout for our young people. Mothers, don't give up on your sons and daughters, or family members, we can only PRAY for them, and love them which can be very difficult,when you are going through the problem!. A new friend i met and her name is BERYL WILLIE married with three kids two of whom is married and financially stable. She loves the outdoors and spending time reading.Her favorite meals are steam fish and chicken with veggies. Husband Claude is self employed.

She is a very funloving person, always with a smile on her face. She stays in Bridgetown. She is married to Benjamin Herringer for 23 years. Benjamin is a plumbing salesman and Ursula is a home executive. They have two children, Brandon is 22 years and Caitlyne is 12 years old. Ursula's hobbies are listening to music, going on mountain hikes, and taking drives to the beach alone just to sit and take time out for herself and stare at the ocean. Her favourite foods are seafood and chicken with veggies.

This is Mimi,Jamima Peters.Let me share with you the day I met her.This day I had to take the step to change my life for the better.Knowing she is working at the Impact Centre,me not knowing what really took place there. I entered the building and ask the first person I saw if I was able to see her.She was called. When she saw me ,she gave me the most brilliant smile it made me feel warm and loved .By one meeting it made an impact hence the centres name.That to this day (2 months later) I still find myself there with her.

This is one lady that I havent yet befriended too long as she is quite new to the group at Impact Centre.She has such a special quality about her which immediately drew my attention to her,not that she was aware of my inquisitive mind. Im sure she is at the centre for approximately two months and during this time she has taken charge of all the kitchen duties to the fullest.As this area is by no means my strong point,Im very happy that she loves cooking and all the other strings attached to the kitchen. She has created the most delicious dishes thusfar and very well received by the boys at Impact Centre. Hope we shall have a very long relationship.

It was about three years ago on a Sunday morning on my way to church. I saw this lady walking with Kyle and his mom Merle. We greeted an immediately this lady started chatting telling me how she walked from Silvertown, how she had her knee removed. She was just going on and on I am a good listener I didn't mind listening to her. An announcement was made in church that the UK team was facilitating workshops at the Impact Centre and people were free to give in their names. Rae Goedeman's name was on the list, she didn't waste any time in being part of the Impact Direct Ministries. She is part of the Seniors wellness group and also does lifskills with a group of young girls from the City Mission educational services. Rae does great work at the Impact Centre and avail herself when needed.

What a day very exciting, the buzz and the " wat gaan ons doen ". Its Monday morning 20 April 2009. We have 30 seniors attending on a Monday but this morning some seniors have brought their friends along. We have a packed room and need to0 bring in extra chairs. Our normal program is one week arts and crafts, one week sports and exercises , next week motivational talks or health talks. We have something new something different happening. A lecturer from Cape Peninsula university of technology Mr. Marlon Parker visited our seniors club.The purpose, of the visit is to empower the senior citizens of the community with technology. We had real fun because some of the seniors were never introduce to this. They had to bring their cell phones along, now this is what I heard "ek kannie die ding werk nie".
