What If

If only? Yes so many,many if,s only.As Im watching some young male adults,playing cricket across the road,so much wasted talent,yes wasted as most of them are school dropouts,unemployed and most likely on a drug or two.What if? they had the opportunities to excell and prosper in what they loved best.Painfull thought.What if the choices they made were on par with future requirements of life.Most of their parents are known to me and the way they were reared.Never in my wildest dreams expected any one of them to be roaming the streets today.Trying to get to the core of it all seems fathomless.It really hurts.So much pain if i talk to their moms.Many of them have grandparents,parents or spiritual moms and dads that .s been praying them through for years.Its not only those without fathers but also kids from seemingly happly married couples.Looking at Chad.seventeen years old,known him since his pamper days,chubby and loveable.An excellent all rounder at primary school.you name it, he excelled at it.Those seven years at primary level no student could beat him,sports,academicly or whatever challenges came his way.Started high school at thirteen.completed grade eight within requirement.Thereafter,the struggle started.Yes he has repeated grade 9 thrice.He enrolled at a remedial school for 2oo9.still doing grade 9. Sad!Sad!Sad! not because of constant failure but what I assume has become the norm...drugs.You can take the kid out of the hood but you cant take the hood out of the kid.Then again I ask myself what if? What?This vicious cycle has to end someday by empowering our immediate communities.How?Is there hope for this lost generation.Yes, Our Jesus is still alive and miracles are seen to this very day. Then again another thought comes to mind.the child that was raised in sheer poverty,not even a father figure to pave the way.Somehow this kid made it through all the hardships and pain.standing strong in this unloved society.So coming back to my what if.what are the requirements for success in life?As we are all predestined,chosen at birth by God our Heavenly Father,they will oneday be found and brought back to where they belonged, supervised by the Power of God, then again, what if...not.PRAY.pray.pray.
