Today Iam in the class where I was taught how to use the soccial media tools. It is great to be able to give back to others what was given to me. I really enjoy helping the new moms in the 4.0 caffe session class. Yes this is the place to be! I can relate to all these moms and say at the end of the day it is worth investing your time and become computer friendly. OH before I log off , today I had a blast at the geekymoms class. Trying new things

This past week was not too busy for me.I had time to relax and catch up on some reading and sewing. There was also time for visitation something that i have neglected badly. Before i knew it the week was over. But i am grateful that i have done something worthwhile with my time this week.how time flies

Today I am feeling happy.

I had a great week with our kids. we did some Tae Bo and i really did enjoy it . The kids are very active and they make you tired but at the end of the day when you see how much they enjoy themselves it is all worthwhile. Ireally enjoy what I am doing. With the grace of God I hope I will be able to work and help Kewtown children for a long time.

Every day is a new day. I wake up expecting great things to happen. I thank God for my health, family and good friends. This week has been physically and emotionally challenging and exciting. Therefore I am going to make the most of this long week-end. Read and relax is part of my plans. Today I am taking my granddaughters out to do girl stuff. For me this is very exciting because I only had sons. We will be going to the beach, walk along the surf, on the rocks and just enjoy the time together. After this, the shops are our next stop. Had a great week at the u3a met Albie sacks. Gave a inspirational speech spoke about his days in exile but did not loose focus on his goals and vision of the country.He sufferd lots of hurt and pain when his arm was blown off by the appartheid regime.

The time 11:40, the day Saturday 19/03/2011 and at the moment i am sitting in a room filled with beautiful ladies who just as i am equipping ourselves with updated technology and i am enjoying it tremendously , what an opportunity to can be on par with those around us and the world. As we allow ourselves to be (FAT-faithfull, available and teachable) we will and can achieve much. There are much hidden within each of us still to come to the fore to impact the lives of others with whom we come into contact. We need to strech our wings and fly. Hi everybody I am so excited as I will be participating at the Carnival in Cape Town today. I belong to the Bridge Town Fitness club and we will be doing Line dancing at the Carnival. Our theme will be Birds so if you will be going tonight just look out for the 65 year old bird in the fourth line with the sexy legs. It is going to be a very long day as we are leaving Bridge Town at 1 O,clock today and only returning home late tonight. I am at the RLab centre in Bridge Town at this moment in time learning new computer skills which I think is absolutely exciting . I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be able to learn new things. So you can teach and old dog new tricks if your are willing to be taught I pray that all of you out there will have a blessed long weekend and you ladies to have ME time this weekend. Last Sunday we fetched our granddaughter, Toni-Lee and and her dog and took them with our dog, Debbie for a drive to Melkbosstrand. It was really beautiful out there. We went for a long walk along the beach which everyone enjoyed. I attended my Yoga class on Tuesday which I really enjoy. It is very relaxing and the postures are really doing me good. On Thursday morning I went to the University of the 3rd Age meeting where we had retired Constitutional Court Judge, Albie Sachs giving us a talk. It was very interesting as we discussed our country and how far we have got since 1994. On Friday morning we went to do our weekly shopping. We also stopped to have a coffee at the Spur at Kenilworth Centrel. The Spur is really looking fantastic after being revamped. To-day being Saturday I am RLabs going my Computer lesson and really enjoying it

As a community leader it is grateful to me to take the challenge sometime because people aspecially in my community they dont know their rights, until this time we have right to no campain.We as commettee with full view prepare to work for the people.

Hi All I had a semi wonderful week but it ended good my son has been excepted at a specialneeds school now i can concentrate on my house and me. I experience something that made me feel so sad and emotional. My son goes for regular physotheraphy at Red Cross it a children hospital and there you see all kind of different ly abled children. And I sat there I saw a child that is misformed and I just felt so sad. I did'nt have the courage to uplift her and tell her that God loves her. Please pray for me that I can start to encourage people in my situtions. I realize that the Mothers with special need children dont get the prays they surpose to. So when you see a Mother with a disabled child tell then that God Loves Them. May God Bless You. Hav a Fab weekend

My week was very productive. I started training to run a 10km race 2weeks ago, that i will do next year Godwilling. I have to wake at 04h45 in the morning. Have my quiet time with God,afterwards prepare lunch for school. have a cup off coffee a slice of jam bread or weetbix with a banana and my vitamins.I leave home at 06h15. I would train for 45-60minutes, because its only the beginning stage. My trainer is a 63yr old lady. This is only what i do in the early mornings From Nazli

Today we learned to "Chat" but all in silence... very interesting and exciting. The old brain cells are alive again. Amazing how quick msgs are relayed. Creating , sharing and engaging is just wonderful. We also learned to view and save our photos. I thought I had lost my pic when I deleted my msg but fortunately it was still in memory. Great stuff.

today i have learn about chat box. But i think the classes is much too fast and don't think i have learn much. I don't think i will be able to work on my laptop alone.

This lesson went a bit slow for me today because I came a late. but today I learnt that I can create, share and engage.

Just thinking and trying to put myself in the shoes of the people in Japan....not possible at all. This makes me realize once again that we in Cape Town should be so grateful that such disasters does not happen to us. This is because the hand of God is on our country. Instead of natural disasters happening, we break down one another in many other ways. We say hurtful things because of color, we look down on people for where they live and how much money they have. We need to start building each other and try and see people through the eyes of God. God has given us enough love to share with one another. So let us start building our families, in order to have a healthy community, in order to have a healthy country. God bless one and all!!!!!

Hi just a short story about myself. Married with 3 children. They all married. All went to university and graduated.Have 3 grandchilden. I am a peoples person.I worked all my life which i enjoyed.I loved being empowerd.I joined the mom 4.o class doing a computer course.

Children, their wives and my grandchildren, as well as my sister from New Zealand who is busy recovering from the Christchuch earthquake, as well as one of my nephews, will all be in Cape Town in April. It will be full house for me and I am really looking forward to it. Apart from learning to use a computer, I am also trying to learn to speak Xhosa - all things I should have learnt when I was much younger -but we are never too old to learn new skills. It only takes longer. However nothing will interfere with either of the above courses. I am really thankful for the opportunity to participate.

On the 9th February 2011 Ernest, my husband, and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. It is unblievable that we have reached this milestone in our lives, as it seems like yesterday that we got marrried. When I look back and think about it,it is really an achievement. The 50 years were reeally an adventure and I can still remember most of the highlights of our lives together. We got married on a Thursday as we wanted to go on honeymoon on the Union Castle Liners (we went on the Carnarvon Castle) which was a ten day boat trip to Durban, with stop overs in Port Elizabeth and East London. The boats use to leave on a Friday. This was the first time both of us went on a sea voyage. I provesd to be a poor sailor as I was sea sick most of the time. This was the beginning of our life's adventure.

Hi there I am a 65 year coloured female. I have been on retirement for the last 5 years and still have a lot of get up and go in me. I am married to a wonderful man called Bertram for 41 years. I have three grandsons aged 20,16 and 10 and also a son 31 years of age. my daughter was murdered 9.11.2000 and her children haved been with me since then. So at the age of 55 years I had to start a new family all over again with a baby of 5 weeks old. It has been a tough 10 years but God is good and has carried me all these years. My life is very full at this moment in time I am a volunteer for the last 1 and a half years at an organisation called New Dawn. We provide breakfast for the chidren in Kew Town plus minus 110 children each morning before school so I am out of the house before 7 o clock. and we leave at 8.45 each morning. Hi my name is Luween Isaacs. I am a married woman with children. I do voluntary work at New Dawn a NGO that serves the Kewtown community. We work with children that has special needs.We have a breakfast run in the morning where we feed up to a hundred and twenty hungry kids. On a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon we have a aftercare program where we help them with schoolwork and also play and dance with them. There is also and organisation called Fusion that has also come on board to help us with the kids. I really enjoy what I do.

I was a dressmaker and I always wanted to see how they look when they go out. So I bought a doll and dress it up, so now I can see what they will look like. Then a friend saw it and bought the doll, thats how I started my business with my dolls in culture wear. I also taught children jewelry and that bug bit me too. Now Im making jewelry with Fresh water pearls, Swarovsky crystals, Shell pearls, Scech beads and Glass beads. If you want a cheaper crystal, there is also chinese crystals. I also am a Sh'zen consultant. Its all natural products.

Hi to all you blogger. Im a 40yr old wife and mother of three beautiful daughters. I grew up in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town. Im the second youngest of twelve children. Growing up wasn't at all rosy. You can imagine growing up with 12 brothers and sister, it was hard to get the attention that one needed from your parents. However, even if life was tough growing up, i didn't let it stop me from achieving the things that i new i was capable of doing. Let me start at the beginning .I am very big on asking questions, when things dont seem right; Some would label me as a wanna know it all, but if you dont ask question, how would you know the answers to stuff.I was alway brushed off or should i say, rejected, not just by a father ,but also by some of my siblings, because your parents would always favour one more than the other. My baby boy have celebral palsy he cant walk,talk and his semi blind. It tough rising a child with special need, especailly when when his sick and i need to sit at the hospital for weeks. My twins will be 30yrs this week and NO I'm not giving them a big splash but we will enjoy some prayers together in Thanks for our good health and all that we are SO lucky to have. I thought I was computer literate but since I've joined RLabs I realise that I have so much more to learn. This is my first Blog post and I'm very excited.
