Geeky Moms

This week something strange happened while in Facebook. I was busy going through a friend's comments on his Wall post and when I pressed the "Comments" on the Wall and it opened up, two black crosses appeared at the right side of the Comments. After viewing the Comments I then clicked on one of these crosses, thinking it was part of the "Comments Column". After doing this a message appeared under the cross which said "mark as scam". I thought I could not do that and then decided to go out of his page. Even after going out these crosses seemed to follow me wherever I was going. While still doing this a message came up from my Panda security saying that some one is trying to shut my computer down. I found this quite disturbing. I spoke to the salesman that sold me the computer and he told me that he has never come across something like this and that I should just ignore it as I had security. I do hope he gave me the right advice because

Good morning world and all creation! Just the thought of being awake, alive, breathing and aware of myself gives me great joy and i delight in my Savior. I at this moment find myself once again in the geeky moms class, all information i received thus far is so informative and of great value. This is one opportunity i simply cannot miss cause it eventually will open doors to greater things for me and i believe it. I have come to a place in my life where i realize to many time have been wasted and knowing that i serve a God of another chance allows me to really grab hold of this opportunity. One is never to old to learn the saying goes and the song writer says "Theres a reason that i cant turn back now, I've come to far to turn around". Well then, some more next time. Hi everyone i'm back in a flash big time. The only thing i can tell i'm confused about this season weather sometimes is very cold sometimes is very hot you end up getting sick.Hoping we are going to have a good summer. Word of advice keep yourself warm all the time.

I'm really excited to be here once again I had a great week and I can only give GOD the thanks and praise for helping me get through any difficult situation. There is one person that i admire and that is auntie Rey she is areal inspiration towadrs me it feels to me like I've known her avery long time now i really like working with her she always puts a smile on my face. I just want to thank Rlabs for everything that they have made possible in my life they have really changed my life for the best and im realy greatful.Im just having it a little bit difficult finding a job but i trust in GOD that he will come through for me

Someone told my husband that we should not feel bad about having a differently able child. We should feel special because God has chosen us to Caleb's parents. I always look how babies that is three years of age are walking and talking. I long for my son to do those things. But I now in due time that will happen. Thank you God for blessing me with Caleb. His sister is so helpful she plays and care for him. This week I came to help at the Impact Center with the Seniors and I enjoyed it. I helped with the facials the. Seniors appreciate it so much. I am ending my week with Rlabs Geeky Moms. We are having a recap on everything we know and checking our emails,facebook... I am leaving early to go and spend time with my family.

Trust that you are well. Had a very busy week. Joined the Impact Senior Ladies on Monday and and had a pamper session thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to meeting on monday GOD willing. Went to my Line dancing classed on thursday after an absence of two months and I seem to have forgotten most of the moves but will be back into the swing of things shortly

This past Saturday we had the Surgeons to help us in the RLabs class.. yes, the facilitators r so patient helpful. I had commented on some posts but because the network was slow I tapped a few times on the Enter button with the result that the same msg to Nazli was posted 5 times. So my lessons for the day was be Patient wait, dont hold the fingers too hard or too long on the keyboard otherwise it will duplicate etc. So then I learned to undo the messages but I could not remove my name etc., so please take lessons from my oversights and mistakes. Often times tho we learn best from our mistakes and past experiences. So Geeky Moms hang in There!

The Geeky moms was due for there check up by the Rlabs Surgery team, we did one on one with the class as to see where they need help with to get them on par with the rest of the group. The classes was once again full and the facilitators were pulled everywhere but we saw to everyone's needs. There were some that was not here last week so it was good to see them all ready for the journey. You get to know the class members more so when you sit with them and see what they think of social media and there fears. They were excited to have there questions answered that was bothering them and were shown certain short cuts to use which they loved. The eagerness and willingness to learn was amazing, they appreciated the patience we bestowed upon them and was so grateful. So everyone passed there techno check-up and is geeky enough to move on to the following level of what is going to happen in the next few weeks.

Today we did 'surgery'... I was interested to know how to create a group email for a newsletter, and to learn more about blogging. Melanie helped me a lot, and I have new tricks to go and try out at home. I think I'm going to start with blogger rather than wordpress. I am keen! Thank you for your help, and looking forward to more new steps.

morning to you it really is great to be back.i really missed these classes it is nice to see everyone so excited to start. there are new faces but i am sure we will all get used to each other as time goes on. sometimes we tend to forget but the facilitators are so cool always ready to help i think they are great.

23rd July a new day and opportunity God has given me once again to be a part of what pertains the contents to bring it to an end as i'm guideded into the right direction. At this moment i am in Bridgetown @ Rlabs gaining more knowledge in tapping into information that will make a difference in my life and lifestyle. What a wonderful opportunity given to us by wonderful God gifted facilitators who availe themselves at no cost to serve their people, i sulute the Rlabs team, be blessed as God lift you from strength to strength and from glory to glory, Shalom.

To-day at Class we had what is called a "surgery session" which means we could ask our facilitators any question about what we were not certain about regarding what we have been taught. I went through the lesson of twitter which we were taught some time back and updated my knowledge of it. I will have to do quite a bit of practising to get it right. I hope by next time I come to class I will be better equipped.

Im really excited being here for the second time again i just want to thank the facilitators for having so much patience with us. The Rlabs team are the best people to share your Saturdays with because they understand you and not judge you I just want to give all my thanks and praise to our father up above

This is our second week at geeky moms. I am happy to be back.My week has been a busy one. I attend Craft class and this keeps me very busy.We will be having an exhibition shortly.

Hi there all you bloggers. I have been out of circulation for a few weeks I am glad to be able to be back in cyber space again. I am back at rlabs today starting a new course. This is the only method of communication that I have with you all. I trust that you all have had a good week past if not then you have the next week to change and be happy and positive in spite of whatever difficulties you may face this week. I have had a very busy week as we started our breakfast run this week in Kew town. We have a had two week break and started on Monday with giving 85 children breakfast before school. We are at the Calvinist Church in Kew Town every morning at 7 o clock . We also have Literacy classes with them on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. This is really my passion and feel very blessed to be doing something for our community even though the children as you can well imagine is very very active. Well we're all very excited to be in class this morning. It's been a long week for all of us. I think most of us can't wait for Saturday mornings. This morning we're in surgery, recapping on tools we forgot or just learning new tools we're not familiar with, however the server is bit slow, but that's not putting off anyone in the class. We 're all still excited to be here. Some ladies are so into their PC, they forget about everything and everybody around them. Even if the server is a bit slow every body is trying their best to get or stay connected. Thanks surgery team

I am very fortunate to have a loving and beautiful family.I have two sons and a wonderful husband.Currently I am working in my community as a home carer.I look after our elderly in the community.I enjoy my work because it gives me great satisfaction to be able to help others that needs it so desperately.

What a wonderful morning I am having a great day so far. The energy in the class is unbelievable. We are having surgery today they are helping us to understand the things we don't know how to do. They are quiet helpful and have plenty of patience. Some of them are nurses and some doctors. Something awesome happened this week my son has a kidney problem. Friday he went for his check up and we got good news. The one kidney is smaller then the other and they were very worried that if it don't grow they will have to operate. The results came and it was good news. His kidney is growing and running perfectly. I Am a Geeky Mom. Not a geek. Want to start saving for a laptop because my phone need a upgrade.

Back at geeky moms this morning,reflecting.This morning I am a more relaxed.there is a buzz in this place,the excitement is tangible this morning. The surgeons are here to guide us and assist us with whatever challenges we are experiencing.I have my personal surgeon. I am happy to be in this space this morning

I just love spending time with my family. We've set aside every Tuesdays after school and work to spend time together as a family. We sometimes just chat around what happened during the day, or we play games , go to the movies or just take a drive and buy an ice cream.Its great fun!!!!!! Last night we chat around the olden days, how hubby and I grew up. Sometimes the girls find it very strange that we grew up the way we did , what we ate.the games we use to play, about sitting at the next door neighbors house watching TV and we had to pay 5cent to watch Sabatian, black beauty, Liewe heksie,Heidi, Rupert the bear,Mia the bee, en die beste series, Dallas & Dynasty . Jinne those were the days . I remember the games we used to play outside. Games like..... Kennetjie,blikkies,skaluloes, handies, c til c, gaties, bok bok hoeveel op die rug. We don't see our children playing these games. They just love asking questions about the past and try to compare life between now and then.

I haven't been blogging on the mom 2.0 for months, but I guess a person have to make a move some how. Our first day back after our two week break at the Rlabs academy started on the 16 Th of July 2011 it was a great morning, with so many new people and such great changes. As we embark on new things, getting familiar each with new tasks we the geeky moms are now the champions and we're working along side the Rlabs crew as co- facilitators. We did our check-ins as usual on a Saturday morning everybody was so excited to see one anther Our first classes stared at 8:30 am this was the new geeks on the block. We were split into two groups and the new geeks had to blog, well in the class that I facilitated everybody remembered their email as well as their passwords. The only thing they were a bit rusty in was remembering how to blog, but they got it right very soon and started blogging away. Assistance was only needed when they had to post pictures on their blogs and as they went

Hi new mom 2.0, I just want to encourage you guys, however I know you'll only be reading this blog when you're going to create your blogs. So enjoy reading it............... Its true what they say, we women have so much inner strength. We can multitasks and get things done even if we go through our "STUFF" Take for instance yesterday and today, even I if feel sick and weak in my body, I managed to cook, do my admin work, help with school homework, and still clean around the house, however not overdoing it though. As women we're able to do so much without having to study for it. I've shared about it on facebook a few months ago.I'm a wife, mom,teacher,nurse,chef,hairdresser,gardener, dog watcher, .......the list can go on and on. I was ask by Rene and Monique to speak to the new mom 4.0 class about my experiences I had in the previous class.It was a great opportunity praise God. I also started facilitating my first class with the new moms, very exciting!!!!!! It felt great talking in front of people, something I was always nervous about, I guess that's how most folks feel when they have to stand up and talk to crowds. However,I feel that this is only the beginning of great things. I feel my confidence level has been given a boost in such a way that I feel I can just about do anything I put my mind to. Hi today I am for ever grateful for this wonderful day, that God has blessed me with. Its my special day, it's my birthday. I started my day in prayer and went to the house of the Lord had an awesome time came home hubby and children are busy in the kitchen cooking up a storm while I am on my laptop chatting away; well my family is walking in one by one and my home is full of laughter,love,joy and happiness. Something i love when my family make me feel loved.In this i give God all the glory,praise,honor.Very glad and happy for all my blessing thank you thank you Lord,.

So the moms has moved a level up and officially became the new Geeks on the block, even though we only took a two week break but it felt to them like i lifetime. The excitement for them to greet there friends that came back and the loud buzz that filled the air was awesome. We recappped everything that they learned in the Moms class and let them check in, We got them to blog about there experience so far on MOM 2.0 website. I am so proud of them as they have come so far from when we first started, there confidence shining through, no more that scared person that did not know what to do with this gadget before them. Now they dont have to be assisted when they need to access a website and log in. Well done ladies as we are excited what champions will arise from you!

To-day we are starting our second session lessons of Social Media Networking. I am very excited about the prospect of learning new mediums of the networking and am really looking forward to it. It is also nice being back with all my "class-mates" again - we were off for two weeks and I really missed the classes. I can't wait to get started. It is amazing how much there is to learn.

FIRST-DAY GEEKY MOM This is my first post, about being here this morning! I feel a bit at sea as I didn't have a gmail account, and don't have the background of the others in the class. No matter, I am in and writing! Everyone has been very friendly which is helpful, and the check-in was warm and welcoming. I am wondering if I am going to 'get' this social media stuff, but I am wanting to start a blog so am motivated to learn how to do that! That's it for now...

Today is my first day at a computer class after 3years.I was so excited i was awake at 5an and could'nt sleep again.My emotions were mixed because I did'nt know what to expect(in a good way).When I got here I was nervous.but that was quickly allayed.I also met a new friend,Julia.now I am in the class,blogging.EXCITING TIMES.

Hi to all of you - I am still having problems signing in - I'll have to practice at home but my laptop has been sent to the supplier to check on why I am having problems with the internet modem connection every now and again.

I am so happy to be back in this new class. It is called Geeky Moms. Many of the older faces and some new ones in the class. I still have some things to learn from Mom .4 but am very excited with the new challenge which will last for 19 weeks. I trust that the facilitators will be patient with me.

Good morning world, just a bit to share: We started a new semester this morning after completing mom 4.o that lasted 2o weeks. The information imparted within us by our God gifted fascilitators was of such great value of which we are grateful for (God bless our fascilitators). This morning its geeky moms after a 2 week break for the next 19 weeks and i am so excited, from what came out of our introduction we the students and our instructors could'nt wait for our 2 week break to end so we could start our new session again. Our class is filled with the most beautiful ladies and everyone's occupied with there own thoughts, will be excited to read their blogs and find out what comes out from within each one of us. It's such a good change in thinking out of the box and discovering what really comes out from within each one of us. Well that's a bit for now. Be blessed you all.

Hey you guys out there if you not connected you missing out big time!To be affiliated to Rlabs is the best thing that can happen to anyone no matter what age you are.You meet people of all ages and different backrounds and we just become one happy family.These are exciting times we living in its a Social Revolution!I'm looking forward to the next twenty weeks at the academy theres lots to learn!I'm excited to get to Rlabs on a Saturday because this is my only time I spend on a computer and I sometimes feel my time is limited.My classmates are making fun already because i'm so glued to my PC. " I feel so happy and excited" I felt a bit down this morning, however the moment I step into this class all my trouble's left me, because I'm with people that I've missed,and who cares for me. This is one place that I want to find myself every Saturday morning. I told my friend even if I find myself sick ,I will forced myself to come to this class. Its a space where you feel free from all the stuff one face during the week.Its a place where you can off load all the stresses of the week into a simple tool called a PC. Started my new class today, 19/7/2011. Lots of new faces & names to get used to. To crown it all, I cannot remember my first blog's name, so let,s recap. I am a home executive dealing in Organic & Eco-friendly cleaning company products and also an associate of a company dealing with herbal products. I guess you can call me a GREEN LADY, because the facials and body products that I deal with has a Honey and Almond base. I guess I am on the right path because every body should be 'GOING GREEN'.

Hi All Having a wonderful time at the Rlabs Geeky Mom. The Lord is putting me through a new phase. Learning new thing. You are never to old to learn. It is wonderful to be amongst powerful and beautiful ladies. Here we empower one another and help each other grow and lift one another up. Its back to me time, my hubby is at home with the kids. Spending time with them. The past two weeks was the worst ever I had nothing to do it was so boring. But now I am back and ready to learn, grow, make new friend.

Today is the 1st of the Geeky Moms class and wonderful to be back at RLabs. I spent last weekend at Macassar Beach which was extremely good for my spirit and a way to clear out the cobwebs that hinder us in our daily lives if we allow them to. Just taking out quiet time without TVs, PCs and radios gives one the times to really appreciate what we so often take for granted. I have taken a room at 26A Avenue Rd, Woodstock where I will practice my Reconnective Healing skills. I will be sharing a room with the The Academy of Life Coaching and because I will be surrounded with Positive and like-minded people I know I will be encouraged to do my best always, Inshallah. I will also do facials using Sh'zen and Galvanic products, amongst other activities like promoting health & chemical-free products. Hope to hear from my fellow bloggers soon.

Hi!I did some jewelry with swarovsky crystals, pearls/shell,fresh water and glass, szech beads.Necklaces,bracelets, watches and spectacles chains. I also make beaded flowers, and I make brooches with the flowers too. As I wrote in my first blog i also make dolls cloths and dress the dolls in culture wear. Iv also got gifts that i made.

Here at Rlabs academy starting my first class of geeky moms, and yes very excited to learn the new tools we are going to learn, so yes, again a very big thanks to all the guys for sacrificing there special time to teach us the new technology tools, yes looking forward to it, loving all that i am doing at my age never did i thing at this age of 47 yes, would i be learning social media technology thank you Lord for giving me this opportunity.

I've been going through my diary that I've kept since the time I got saved.Its amazing where I was then spiritually,and where I am now! God' is faithful and He can be trusted,because the bible says that God is not man that He should lie. He is true to he's word. As I read through my notes,It reminded me of all the prayers God has answered. So much has changed since 2005. I'm not making the same mistakes I did then. In the same breathe, as God changed me,my husband as well as my children changed. Yes there was a lot of heartache and pain, so much confusing especially with the girls. They could not understand WHY????. The amazing thing is, everything that we went through as a family, we grew stronger and closer, and we remained together and we're still together. The enemy has tried to bring separation, however with God on our side nothing could go wrong. I stood upon the word of God. Today I can truly say, all that we are as a FAMILY and where we're at ,is

It was an especialy good Saturday for me. The starter of my car was fixed, Thank God. At Islamic Shariah Studies we had a successful "Back to School" theme for a fundraiser and we had lots of laughs. Some of us wore school uniforms and I wore my daughters Matric Jacket... Yeah! It did fit. I enjoyed seeing my Friend Fatima and her daughter at my cousins' 60th birthday Dinner. Congratulations to Karima and Zain Jack. May you two grow your wedded bliss together fore a long time. Inshallah.
