Community care

The Bible says " if you have done it to the lest of these you have done it to me" Jesus wants us to take care of our community.It is not always easy to do God's will but He give us the the strength and ability to do so. Our community needs positive role models and as a ministry see this we work among our people. We do counselling and life skills in schools and also do aftercare with the kids. The kids love our cooking we later found out why, some of the kids don't have any food at home.When we heard of their need we started to do extra cooking, we now feed their families.
We are planning to have a nice end of the year outing, we want to spoil them and give the a little gift.
The volunteers are very passionate about what they do they are always available when needed.We also work with senior citizen, we love them to bits, they are wonderful to be with. We do a wellness programme,they love the pampering. We do pedicure, manicure, facials and wash their hair. Its very hard for a senior person to reach their feet, they really struggle to cut their own toenails.
We are taking them on a trip around the peninsula, they looking forward and are very excited. I think our senior citizens deserve even more they are the one how laid our foundation they stood strong when they went through hardship and struggles. They are survives, more than overcomers. I honour and salute them.
