Skype 2 for Moms

This morning was the return of the moms and more importantly the return of Skype! Last week the Mom3.0 Cafe Session introduced the moms to Skype and this was part 2. At the beginning of the session the moms were asked firstly how there week was and secondly how they found Skype last week. Some of the comments included: didn't know such a thing existed, now I can call my brother overseas and see his new born baby, I can video call and instant chat at the same time and at this age who new I could learn something so exciting? Recently Skype introduced conference calling and we tested this with the moms as well. There was a bit of feedback on the laptops as they were all in the same room. So lesson learnt don't try and add people in the same room on the same conference call.

The class today was full of fun and laughter and loads of excitement. The moms were also informed about their graduation as the date has been set for Saturday, 11 December 2010. There are just 5 Saturday mornings left before they graduate.

SENIORS OUTING

Good afternoon world on a lighter note,on wednesday we took our seniors around the peninsula.Our first stop was Sea Point opposite the SABC offices. Where our seniors enjoyed a snack.thereafter we went to Hout Bay where they stretched a bit.Some of our seniors interacted with the coons.Our aunty Ellen,Vicky Jonck and Freda Davids enjoyed dancing with the coons.We then went back to Maidens Cove where we served them lunch.After lunch we served them fruit and some doughnuts and juice.We then boarded the busses at 3.05 and was taken on the beach road for some more sightseeing.when we got back to the centre,our seniors were all handed a gift before they went to their respective homes.What an awesome experience.
