The begging of new things at the Rlabs

I haven't been blogging on the mom 2.0 for months, but I guess a person have to make a move some how. Our first day back after our two week break at the Rlabs academy started on the 16Th of July 2011 it was a great morning, with so many new people and such great changes. As we embark on new things, getting familiar each with new tasks we the geeky moms are now the champions and we're working along side the Rlabs crew as co- facilitators. We did our check-ins as usual on a Saturday morning everybody was so excited to see one anther Our first classes stared at 8:30 am this was the new geeks on the block. We were split into two groups and the new geeks had to blog, well in the class that I facilitated everybody remembered their email as well as their passwords. The only thing they were a bit rusty in was remembering how to blog, but they got it right very soon and started blogging away. Assistance was only needed when they had to post pictures on their blogs and as they went on the blogging journey they started writing down as we refreshed their memory and took them through some of the things they couldn't remember. Excitement filled the air as soon as they remembered how to do everything concerning blogging.

It was a busy morning as all stations was up and running when the geeks was done it was time to equip the new recruits in the (mom 2.0 cafe session) I just simply love these words "mom2.0 cafe session". So this is basically starting from scratch from setting up email addresses to helping the new moms to be comfortable with the computer. This is also two classes that is running at the same time. Then at the reception area we had the legacy group helping the people to vote for table mountain, and in the board room the entrepreneur classes started from 9am-12am.What a morning and did we have fun!

Part of being a co-facilitator is to read everybody's blog and comment on each blog so today I took the time and read through every blog or so I hope, it really inspired me to read all these blogs. This is what the new geeky moms had to say.Anthea would like the facilitators to be patient with her,Lilian loves her new class, Mary is so glad to be back at the Rlabs academy and said she loved the fact to think out of the box.Suzanne is on a new page, she missed the classes and she's very glad to be back,Melanie's having her " me" time back,Ferozah's happy to be back at Rlabs and with friends, Estelle is so excited for all the new teachings she will be receiving.Nazel is not missing a single class, Shariefa forgot how to send a message but must catch up, Fatgeyah says she enjoys her new class and she's a green lady, Nadeema Blogged about her many talents and now she's multi talented because she's growing in social skills. Michelle loves her new social media tools and she's a new geeky mom on the block.

So now I have some insight of what the Rlabs crew have to do to make things happen, it was a fruitful day at the academy and I cannot wait for our next class.
