Barrydale

Barry dale, a small town on the  R62 between Montague and Ladysmith. One main road where you mostly get  everything. Shops still closed at 2 on a Saturday afternoon and open Monday mornings.
Poor community but warm and friendly. Unemployment big worry most families dependant  on social grant and rest farm workers. Everybody knows everyone so they know exactly when visitors arrive or leave. In winter ice cold and summer very hot because its  surrounded with mountains, breathtaking
view everyday. You can still walk late at night, sometimes leave your door unlock no burglar bars.
If you want to enjoy peace and quiet Barry dale is the place to take a break.

SENIORS OUTING

Good afternoon world on a lighter note,on wednesday we took our seniors around the peninsula.Our first stop was Sea Point opposite the SABC offices. Where our seniors enjoyed a snack.thereafter we went to Hout Bay where they stretched a bit.Some of our seniors interacted with the coons.Our aunty Ellen,Vicky Jonck and Freda Davids enjoyed dancing with the coons.We then went back to Maidens Cove where we served them lunch.After lunch we served them fruit and some doughnuts and juice.We then boarded the busses at 3.05 and was taken on the beach road for some more sightseeing.when we got back to the centre,our seniors were all handed a gift before they went to their respective homes.What an awesome experience.
