Remaining hopeful

Dear Reader

I am a woman, striving to find balance in life,  striving to get to the place and statement of mind of peace.

So when life is hard and the challenges seems insurmountable, look around you? What do you see?  The beautiful sunshine, feel the breeze blowing and look up at the birds chirping in the trees.
Being a mother of 2 children under 5 can be a challenge, then add in the full time employment in the corporate sector when you are expected to deliver every day and never have a day where you are not sparkling and delivering.  Combine that with the other life situations like extended family issues, school issues,  health issues and so the list goes on.  The expectations pile up and becomes enormous.  Where do you draw from to remain hopeful?  Where do you go to escape the madness that can so easily steal your peace?
Let me tell you its not easy.  Its not always possible.  Some days it easy to stay in that place.
However, when you view life and its challenges from the vantage point that these challenges too shall pass,  that it is temporary,  that is not insurmountable, that although your challenges are real others may have ones that are even more dire, hope comes alive.  Maybe having a child with a terminal illness, having just lost your job,  finding that death is knocking on the door are challenges others face.  It makes one grateful, it make you realize that everything is relative and reinforcing the temporary nature of everything.

There are some things that will remain constant - the love for my children,  the beauty of the created world when you look through the prism of possibility, the fact that I know that I am loved.  That gives me hope.
