Meeting her

This is Mimi,Jamima Peters.Let me share with you the day I met her.This day I had to take the step to change my life for the better.Knowing she is working at the Impact Centre,me not knowing what really took place there. I entered the building and ask the first person I saw if I was able to see her.She was called. When she saw me ,she gave me the most brilliant smile it made me feel warm and loved .By one meeting it made an impact hence the centres name.That to this day (2 months later) I still find myself there with her.

My interests are reading,gardening,home crafts and the outdoors.It took an accident that happened 16 years ago to make me realize that the choices we make will determine the quality of life we will lead.It was, and is a long, hard road to get to where I am today. Imagine,having to learn to write,walk,remember,eat,cook,dress and just about everything we teach a toddler to do, well it took me 16 long,trying and very difficult years to become the person I am today! SENIORS OUTING

Good afternoon world on a lighter note,on wednesday we took our seniors around the peninsula.Our first stop was Sea Point opposite the SABC offices. Where our seniors enjoyed a snack.thereafter we went to Hout Bay where they stretched a bit.Some of our seniors interacted with the coons.Our aunty Ellen,Vicky Jonck and Freda Davids enjoyed dancing with the coons.We then went back to Maidens Cove where we served them lunch.After lunch we served them fruit and some doughnuts and juice.We then boarded the busses at 3.05 and was taken on the beach road for some more sightseeing.when we got back to the centre,our seniors were all handed a gift before they went to their respective homes.What an awesome experience.
