Women at Rlabs.

My  name  is  Amanda Matthys  and  i  am doing  a computer course  at  Rlabs.
I  am  an  enrolled nurse  by  profession, i  am  working  at  life  Esidimeni Intermediate Care Facility.
My  hobbies  are  reading,socializing and  doing big walks.
I do  volunteering because i  love working  with  people and working in the community.
I  belong to a charity called  Angels of  Hope,we  work mostly with cancer survivors and  their families.
We did volunteer work at the  oncology  unit  at  Red Cross hospital


For me it is an honour  to  empower myself  ,because  knowledge is  power.
I feel that  we as women  can  reach  for the stars.

SENIORS OUTING

Good afternoon world on a lighter note,on wednesday we took our seniors around the peninsula.Our first stop was Sea Point opposite the SABC offices. Where our seniors enjoyed a snack.thereafter we went to Hout Bay where they stretched a bit.Some of our seniors interacted with the coons.Our aunty Ellen,Vicky Jonck and Freda Davids enjoyed dancing with the coons.We then went back to Maidens Cove where we served them lunch.After lunch we served them fruit and some doughnuts and juice.We then boarded the busses at 3.05 and was taken on the beach road for some more sightseeing.when we got back to the centre,our seniors were all handed a gift before they went to their respective homes.What an awesome experience.
