Geeky Moms

Hey my name is Charmaine Carrol Johnson. I am 47 years old.    I  live in Bridgetown  .I  am  married  to a wonderful husband and have  4 beautiful children,three boys and one girl.The girl is a real sweetheart. I have a career ,currently working at Melomed  Gatesville hospital as a staff  nurse. I specialize, working in a operation theatre, assisting doctors with anaesthetics. I enjoy my career very much. Theatre is  a very interesting department in  hospital to work. I am glad for the opportunity Rlabs gives me to learn to know the computer.

This is about my amazing experience at Rlabs so far.My great geeky moms experience. At the beginning I was not sure to take the course as I was not sure what it was about.Then I came the first week and although I was feeling a bit under the weather,there was this immense jolly vibe.I just felt so relaxed and excited at the same time.We really got treated like the ladies that we were. We had a meet and greet and mini Mani and just  chatted with the rest just to get to know each other a bit. As the weeks went we covered quite a few things like all the google apps and I really enjoy just playing with my PC and gaining the knowledge. My all in all experience so far is just super awesome and I cant wait what is next and hopefully making a new friend or two.Before forgetting the facilitators are super awesome and always ready to assist with a smile,which just make my day worthwhile.

Am Olwethu Koti 28years of age , this is my 4th week attending geeky moms at rlabs. My experience at rlabs is amazing,every one is trying to give the best information that we need,I have never use a computer before but in this 4 weeks that i attended geeky moms i know how to send an email,change themes,translate,copy and paste a document,i have my signature in my email,i have the best experience ever . Rlabs is the best ,come and experience the love and get the information that you need you will not regret it .

 

Our past mistakes should not define who we are. We all make/made mistakes in our past but that should not define you as a person.You should not become prisoners of your past as it should be a life lesson and not a life sentence. We learn from our past we can not erase it and it cant be forgotten  but we can do better by learning from our past by making different choices, by making different choices you`ll get different outcomes. As you go through life you`ll come across many challenges and obstacles but that should not stop you from being through to who you are You should never let your dreams die even if it means achieving them at a later age. If you always dreams of becoming a social worker you should stop at nothing for no one can take your dreams away no one can let your dreams die but you. My name is Somaya Lawrence. I just wanted to share with you my experience at RLabs and how it has changed my life. I'm a 48 year old mother of three teenagers. A stay at home mom by choice and I feel this is my time now. I started at RLabs a few weeks ago and its the best thing I could've done to empower myself for future use. I've learnt so much already and its a "WOW" moment for me because I have such a better understanding now of computers. Everything works with technology now and I don't want to be left behind. I have met so many people here with different experiences...good and bad. I feel so close to these women and we are like a little family now. I would recommend RLabs to anyone at any age at any level of education that they find themselves at in this point of their lives. Education is key. Give it a go. You'll know what I'm  talking about.

Hi my name is Naeemah Simons, I am 44 years old, I live by the saying you are never too old to learn. I went through a lot of difficult Challenges in my life. My life was turned around a few years ago when I started to Believe in myself. I believe in the Power of my Creator and that gave the Power to be more in control of my Life, a Positive Mindset and Positive Goals.   My name is Kiesmiah   Melouw my first day at RLabs was  very excited   and so meting to look forward to because i have been in my own world at home chats looking to the world in a different way like being alone and nothing to do but for me its so nice to stand up in  the morning  to  go to rlabs. Rlabs.. A amazing place and space. I am Fatima a 57 year old professional nurse who is currently attending the Geeky Moms course. In my profession we have limited interaction with computers resulting in me not being  computer literate.I feel i am in the process of empowering myself and the fear of technology is subsiding from me. The past few Saturdays mornings at Rlabs has been so inspiring to see so many ladies wanting to learn and thereby improving their lives in positive manner.Suzanne has been a absolute star making the classes fun and interesting and her positive energy is so infectious.The ladies assisting Suzanne in the  class has been so easy to approach and eager to help us I feel inspired by what Rlabs is doing in  uplifting the community . I'm Philda De Wet 57 years of age married with four Bless children i am a housewife but sometimes i assist my husband with his business First day at Rlabs was awesome introduction dancing took place and was given a manicure which i never had in my life as the weeks passed i learn a lot Technology is the life of today old or young u need to learn and adapt to it its awesome to attend these classes and u get to meet a lot  of people will come back to attend more classes to broaden my knowledge

My name is Lindzay Naomi Gilbert and I am twenty five years of age. I have two beautiful daughters by the names of Logan and Jehaan. I'm very shy and quiet, I don't easily attach myself to people but being at Rlabs for the past few weeks has really brought out something different about me. Our very first session was where we had to introduce ourselves with a dance and I was extremely shy but did it anyway. Unexpectedly we had manicures done and a 'lets chat' session where I met this beautiful young lady Natasha, we immediately clicked.  On the first of spring we did our check-in outside, I had to remember the ladies names, shoe size and favourite food. I then sat at the computer and we did our Gmail accounts followed later on with emails.  When you struggling the invigilator's are very kind and help full which made me feel so comfortable.   I am very happy to be here at Rlabs, all the ladies that I've met thus far has only ever been nice to me. ...

My name is Edwina i am a mother of two beautiful children a daughter and son They are my life and i live for them. My experience with RL labs so far has been an refreshing amazing experience, I never knew they existed but from hearing about them and now experiencing it myself i am very much impressed and would recommend them to anyone. My name Raihana Jones, I am 26 years old, mother of 3 amazing kids age 10, 7 and 2 years. I heard of Rlabs through my cousin and asked to tag along. I have been married all my life and know nothing besides being a mom or wife, I recently got a divorce and felt lost completely. I came to Rlabs in search of any kind of knowledge or education because I felt lost and wanted something to uplift me, make a better me. Rlabs gave me some confidence to want more, be the best me I can be.
